American Publishers Hearst and Children's Miracle Network Announce Goal To Raise $250,000
SALT LAKE CITY (June 30, 2008) — American Publishers Hearst has declared July “Miracle Magazine Month” as a fundraising initiative for Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals. American Publishers Hearst hopes to raise $250,000 through subscription sales.
Renewals and new subscriptions for all American Publishers Hearst magazines are included in the subscription drive, including Time, People and Sports Illustrated. Those who wish to participate should go to http://www.supportthemiracle.com/newsstand.html to purchase subscriptions or renew current subscriptions.
Forty percent of each subscription sale will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network hospital of the subscriber’s choice. On average, the return to the hospital will be $8.00 per subscription. Additionally, a special combination deal is being offered for Good Housekeeping and Redbook as part of Miracle Magazine Month. Through July, subscribers can purchase 12 issues of both publications for $20.
“American Publishers is dedicated to promoting community awareness through outreach, education and information access,” said Keith Erickson, business development manager at American Publishers Hearst. “We chose to work with Children’s Miracle Network because of the direct impact the donations have on children’s hospitals within communities across the United States.”
