Bakersfield Memorial Hospital FoundationBakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation’s mission is to contribute to the quality of life for the people in our community by funding healthcare technology and services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.
Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1981 to raise funds for the first patient tower at Memorial Hospital which opened in 1987. Since then, the BMH Foundation has grown and established many worthy projects and raised millions of dollars, all to assist the hospital, its employees and most importantly of all - the patients.
As a result of sustained local support, BMH has continued to grow to meet the needs of the community. Numerous expansion and remodeling projects have been completed through the years, culminating in 2009 with the completion and opening of the new five-story West Tower. These improvements have transformed BMH into the regional medical center it is today. BMH now includes 428 licensed beds for patients, including specialty intensive care and post-anesthesia care beds; 16 operating rooms; a heavily used Emergency Department with a Chest Pain Center; a Birthing Center with a full-service Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; four Cardiac Catheterization labs; a full complement of diagnostic laboratory and imaging services; and outpatient surgery. |
