Children's Miracle Network Mediathon
- Three days (Oct. 1-3), 38 hours of broadcasting live, more than $77,300 raised during our Children's Miracle Network Mediathon for children's services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Thanks to all who participated and helped make miracles happen for sick kids in Kern County! Special thanks to Jim Scott and Robin Mangarin and their team at KGET-TV 17 and Sergio with KKEY Telemundo 11 for kicking off the CMN Mediathon with true passion. And joining our CMN media family, Christina Martinez with The New Groove 99.3 for broadcasting live for 36 hours! Ralph Bailey with KNZR for giving the final hours of Mediathon extra energy to meet our goal. Many thanks also to the entire Buckley Radio team for partnering with us to make miracles happen. Together, you are all Miracle Makers!
CMN Spanish Radiothon
- Many thanks to the disc jockeys and staff of Spanish Radio Group (Radio Lobo, El Gallito, Concierto and ESPN Deportes) for their trememdous support and passion during our first Spanish Radiothon which was held between August 7 and August 9, 2008. Thanks to their efforts and a groundswell of community support, more than $53,000 was raised to benefit children's services at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is the exclusive Kern County hospital partner in the Kohl's Cares for Kids® program. Net profits from Kohl's $5 books and plush toys sold at Kohl's Bakersfield stores benefit childhood obesity prevention and intervention and diabetes education programs at BMH.
